Frozen

While most of the UK has been covered in a thick blanket of snow, our neighbourhood seemed to have about a half hour of fluffy stuff which semi-melted and then froze into something completely unuseful for snowballs or snowmen or such.

I was very glad to get out to Richmond Deer Park where the snow was powdery and the deer were photogenic and the air was bracing. In fact, when the weather prognosticators said the wind was arctic, I really should have paid a bit more attention and thrown on another layer. It was freakin’ freezing.

Simon walked out onto the frozen lake (despite signs from the park authorities and me warning him not to. http://www.flickr.com/photos/londonlooks/4260054162/in/set-1304207/ But it seemed to have been fully frozen solid.
